There are only a few texture packs that are available at a fee, and realistic texture packs are one of them. You need to work hard and pay attention to detail so that your Minecraft world can easily be mistaken for the real world. The hours of work devoted to each texture pack listed below make it well worth your while to support the developer. The following Minecraft texture packs are some of the best on the market!
It is required to install Optifine in order to work with most of the advanced Minecraft texture packs. If you wish to use any of the resource packs listed below, we highly recommend installing them to improve gaming performance and visual effects.
The quality of the texture packs we list here is guaranteed to work on Minecraft version 1.16 and higher. You can check the list for instructions on how to install a texture/resource pack for your game.

We might feature your medieval texture pack when we update this list, so please leave a comment below. Make sure all texture packs you choose are compatible with the latest version of Minecraft!
Minecraft Texture Packs That Look Realistic
In the following paragraphs, you will find a more detailed overview of each texture pack. If a resource pack is associated with a particular addon, it will be listed below as well.
Textures from the legendary RT
One of the most appealing features of legendary RT textures is that they are available for free in all resolutions. The texture pack still has plenty of value despite that, however. Meticulous attention to detail has been incorporated into each block. We have never seen rails like these before! It is expected that this texture pack will be updated to Minecraft version 1.17 by the end of this week.
The ModernArch RDB
MA stands for Minecraft Amplified, thus ModernArch’s initials. In order to achieve higher resolution, it enhances the original textures. The default texture pack is kept, but it is improved with minor changes that make this texture pack more realistic. You can download this texture pack for free if you’d like to use the 256x resolution. However, the highest resolutions are available through this creator’s Patreon!
Helheim
The texture pack does not come with a free resolution. Using it means going big or going home since the lowest resolution is 1024x. It is still worthwhile to support their work. Minecraft’s blocks are re-textured into completely new designs with this texture pack, giving you a brand new, photorealistic look at the game.
Faithful and PBR
By enhancing the resolution, Faithful PBR improves the texture packs found in vanilla Minecraft. The entire collection can be downloaded for free, even in 2048x resolutions! A modest 32x improvement in texture resolution can go as high as 2048x, destroying graphics cards. You should absolutely use the RAM on your computer if you are able to run higher resolutions. It would be like an alternate universe if they could use this texture pack in VR.
PhotoCraft
You can create a photorealistic Minecraft world with PhotoCraft. A free texture pack that gives your game a realistic appearance (with an option to support it). This does not prevent the default texture pack from making the blocks unrecognizable too much. If you’re a survival gamer who likes to build comfortable homes without adding too much flair, then this pack is for you. The realistic images in this texture pack can inspire you to design a real-world layout based on your Minecraft house!
Information additional to the above
Above, you will find videos and images demonstrating texture packs that are enhanced by shaders. Improvements such as proper lighting, water effects, and particle effects are included. OptiFine and a decent shader are also necessary for a better look, so you can get the maximum benefit from texture packs. Take advantage of the links and instructions below to make Minecraft your most enjoyable experience yet.
Optifine: What is it?
Optifine is a mod that optimizes Minecraft textures. However, to run texture packs and other mods without stuttering, many of these mods and texture packs rely on Optifine.
Even with intensive mods installed on your system, Optifine can double the frames per second you achieve. Besides supporting custom textures, lighting, and palettes, it also offers support for custom graphics. On the Optfine website, you can download texture packs that require Optifine.

Shaders

That’s all for now! Make sure you try each one of the texture packs on our list when you switch between the resource packs in the main menu!
