Droid Pile exists to give readers accurate, clear and useful technology news. This Editorial Policy explains the standards every article on our website follows.
Accuracy and sourcing
- We rely on primary sources wherever possible: official announcements, press releases, developer documentation, company blogs, regulatory filings and on-the-record statements.
- When we use information reported by another publication, we credit and link to it.
- Specifications, prices, figures and dates are checked against official sources before publishing.
- Prices are given in US dollars where available and labelled with the date they were checked.
Leaks and rumours
Leaks are part of tech news, but we treat them with care. Any unconfirmed report is clearly labelled as a leak, rumour or report, with its source and our view of how reliable it is. We do not present speculation as fact.
Independence and conflicts of interest
Our coverage is decided by editorial judgement alone. Advertisers, sponsors and companies we write about do not review or approve our articles before publication. We do not accept payment in exchange for news coverage or positive reviews. If we receive a review unit, the article will say so.
Sponsored content and affiliate links
Sponsored posts, if any, are clearly marked “Sponsored”. Affiliate links, if used, are disclosed in the article. Neither changes what we say about a product.
Use of AI tools
We may use software tools, including AI, to help with research, translation or grammar. Every article is reviewed, fact-checked and approved by a human editor before it is published, and the editor is responsible for its content.
Headlines and images
Headlines must reflect what the article actually says. We avoid clickbait. Images are either our own, official press images supplied by companies, or properly licensed, and are credited where required.
Updates and corrections
News develops. When a story changes, we update the article and note what changed. Errors are corrected promptly and transparently under our Corrections Policy.
